The best combo that I found is heavy + rogues against heavy, light and fast, or champ/fast + rogues against others. Given your weak attack stats, I'd suggest 2 heavy + 6 rogues at low attrition and 1 Colonial heavy + 7 rogues (semi-auto, moving your advanced age unit to the bottom corner, ending turn, hitting auto).
